RothLochston is currently recruiting an Estimator to join the team at Paradise, NL. The Estimator will engage with safety, quality and planning representatives to complete all requirements for client proposals.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Generation of tender estimates; estimates include, but are not limited to materials, fabrication, subcontracts, construction labour, equipment, and project indirects.
- Analyze tender packages to determine time, cost, materials, labour resources required to complete the proposed work scope.
- Consult internally with project managers and field supervision in the development of cost estimates.
- Attend pre-tender site visits.
- Complete quantity take-offs based on tender drawings.
- Source prices for materials and equipment.
- Obtain, review, and compile subcontractor quotations.
- Evaluate and provide cost and schedule impacts of the various alternative construction methods and materials.
- Prepare pre-tender preliminary construction schedule.
- Assist with the preparation of the tender submission documents (price schedules, construction schedules, resource loadings, construction methodology).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- An Engineer, Certified Engineering Technologist, or Journeyperson with prior estimating experience.
- Previous experience in Estimating within the industrial construction and maintenance industry.
- Construction/project management experience, specifically the ability to read and understand mechanical, structural, civil plans and specifications and tender documents.
- Experience using digital tools for cost estimation, takeoffs, and bid preparation.
- Proficient in the use and application of computers and related software. (e.g.: Microsoft software, specifically Excel, Adobe/Bluebeam, CAD).
- Competency in budgets, estimating, project planning, cost control and analytical reporting.
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present concepts and proposals to all personnel from senior management to industrial trade’s employees.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
