RothLochston is currently seeking a Materials Coordinator to join our team in Paradise, NL. Based at our corporate head office, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team supporting multiple business operations in material coordination, logistics, warehousing, and purchasing.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Coordinate the distribution of equipment and materials in alignment with project requirements.
  • Receive incoming material by inspecting, verifying, and signing delivery slips; assist with unloading and unpacking, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality against supporting documents.
  • Handle shipping activities, including wrapping, boxing, palletizing, and strapping materials, while ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Provide occasional support to the corporate Buyer in sourcing products and preparing purchase orders.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to delayed, damaged, or missing deliveries.
  • Operate a forklift to transport materials within the facility and across the property.
  • Maintain and organize work areas to ensure safety and security; uphold a clean and positive working environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers to coordinate the ordering and receipt of materials.

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience is required, with experience in industrial construction considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial materials, equipment, and supplier/vendor networks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and business management software.
  • Familiar with Quality Control and safety documentation related to material receiving.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods and International Air Transport Association certifications are considered assets.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and highly driven.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and forklift certification; Class 8 operator license is an asset.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. repetitively and safely.
