Tank #4 Refurbishment, 180ft diameter, civil mechanical, electrical and instrumentation work to upgrade tank systems and replace tank floor at the Holyrood Generating Station.
Project Challenges
With a distinct construction schedule driven by the fall arrival of the Owners crude supply by ship, this project presented many challenges with scope changes related to deficiencies discovered after the tank cleaning was completed.
The project scope included civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works therefore the site crew was diverse.
Working in a confined space and in a live tank farm presented additional safety issues.
A well planned, well executed, safe and successful project.
