Project Description
Rehabilitation of gates two and three at the Lobstick structure in Labrador, which included replacing main rollers, side roller, pins, seals, and machining the roller path. These gates are typically 13 meters x 13 meters.
Project Challenges
Machining the 30 meter vertical roller path in place to very high tolerances was the biggest challenge of this project.
Another challenge was completing this work in a northern environment within a very short construction season.
Our experienced team developed the procedure to align, machine and change out the mechanical components in a successful manner.
